Single room heat recovery units
These wall-mounted units extract stale air and bring in fresh air through a heat exchanger, so the room keeps its heat, and they need no central ductwork. The unit for a Ø120 opening has a remote control; the one for a Ø160 opening has a pull cord. Heat recovery is 70 to 93 %.
Replacement filters
The filters keep dust and pollen out of the supply air and protect the unit. They come as F7 panel filter sets, 272 × 166 × 48 mm, for a whole-house unit, in both the original and a compatible version.
The outside opening of a unit is finished with a ventilation grille.

What are heat recovery units?
A heat recovery unit takes stale air out and brings fresh air in. Both airflows pass through a heat exchanger, where the outgoing air warms the incoming air, so the room gets fresh air without losing its heat.
Are heat recovery units worth it?
A unit gives fresh air without throwing the heat away: the ones in this range recover 70 to 93 % of it. It pays most in a room that is heated and ventilated for many hours a day.
How often are the filters changed?
Check the filters every few months and change them when they are grey with dust. A blocked filter holds back the air. The manual of the unit gives the interval.
