Corrugated drain pipe
Corrugated drain pipe is flexible, so it can follow the route from the unit to the drain. It comes in Ø16 and Ø20 mm on 30 m reels, and in Ø16, Ø18 and Ø20 mm on 50 m reels with fitting sleeves along the pipe. For the discharge from a pump there is a transparent Ø6 mm pipe on a 25 m reel.
For a straight run that holds its shape, use the rigid condensate drain system. Where the line cannot fall to a drain, a condensate pump lifts the water.
Common questions
Which drain pipe size do I need?
Take the size from the unit's drain outlet. Most split indoor units drain through Ø16 or Ø18 mm, and the corrugated pipe here comes in nominal Ø16, Ø18 and Ø20 mm.
Can a condensate pipe run outside in winter?
It can, but water left in the pipe freezes and blocks it. A heating cable along the outdoor section keeps the line clear.
